We were thrilled when Michelle asked us to be at Emery's birth. Michelle was a trooper and after a few hours of contractions, Emery was out after three pushes. It was a very special experience for Michelle and her family, us, and the doctors and nurses. Everyone had so much love for Michelle that there was not a dry eye in the house. Emery was in the NICU for a week with pneumonia, so we got to spend a lot of time with Michelle and her family. They kept us entertained with their humor and stories.
We drove with Michelle over to LDS Family Services to sign the paperwork after leaving the hospital. It was an emotional experience and we are forever grateful to Michelle.
